Commercial and residential leasing
With over 50 years of commercial and residential leasing experience, we develop customizable solutions for businesses and people looking for a new space or apartment to call home. We manage nearly 2 million square feet of industrial, commercial, retail, mixed-used, and residential space..
Community engagement
We interact with community members and partners on neighborhood projects to help improve the lives of our residents. We collaborate on: community green spaces, project listening tours with community organizations, neighborhood beautification projects, artist and maker tours and demonstrations, and educational events.
We build and rehab smaller-scale projects throughout our project portfolio, and partner with local builders to execute on larger-scale construction and renovation projects. We collaborate with our development team during pre-construction (planning, budgeting, estimating, purchasing) and construction phases. We work with our property management team to handoff the project once construction is complete.
We masterfully connect the multifaceted pieces of projects. From visioning to financing, concept to capital stacks, and community engagement to launch, we engage with industry and community partners and residents to bring projects to life. We are experts in negotiating complex financial structures and working with institutional and philanthropic investors.
Impact measurement
We measure and report on the impact of SHIFT-managed and third party real estate investments. We couple our proprietary impact measurement tool with our financial reporting to create a complete project assessment for current and interested investors.
Investment management
Our top financial and impact investing minds create and manage our impact fund vehicles, including our Shift Neighborhood Fund. We manage real estate private equity funds on behalf of family offices, institutional investors, private impact investors, and foundations.
Property management
We provide a resident-first approach that proactively seeks to make every tenant’s experience positive. We manage technical rent services such as bookkeeping, rent collections and maintenance for both commercial and residential properties. We create and offer value-add services and programs for tenants such as buildout financing, telehealth services, and internet service.
